Coop Fever

The chicks have been a little wild in the brooder lately. Lots of squawking, feathers flying and loud bangs against the metal sides (sounds something like a chick flying full speed into a metal wall). Luckily Sophie is a really good chick-handler. She lets them out to wander around the dining room and poop on the floor (fun for all). But there's good reason for letting them out now and then, not only the banging and such, but also, they're getting out on their own...
This is Stella sitting on the windowsill above the brooder.
SO, with the sunny weather (just before the crazy spring storm that blew flashing off the roof), we set up a temporary pen and let the chicks get some fresh air.

Happy girls! I can hear them peeping about going out again - it's all they talk about anymore.
